Aomori prefecture is the source of more than 60% of apples for the domestic market in Japan and also exports to many countries around the world. Aomori has more than ten types of apples, with diverse flavors and colors. The harvest period is from September of the previous year to June of the following year. Thanks to the climate and land favored by nature, Aomori has ranked first in Japan in apple production.
