KALINKA Teapot

The KALINKA Teapot is a modern stainless steel teapot made in Japan by Tamakohdo Seisakusho, a long-established manufacturer founded in 1919. This teapot combines traditional Japanese aesthetics with contemporary design and functionality, adding color and warmth to your daily tea time.

Product Features

  • Material & Structure: Made with durable 18-8 stainless steel for the body, lid, and strainer, and brass for the handle and lid knob, which gains character over time. Lightweight and shatter-resistant, it’s built for long-term use.
  • Size & Capacity: Diameter 13cm, height 6cm (12cm with handle up), weight approx. 320g, capacity 0.6L. Ideal size for serving 4 cups, perfect for family or friends.
  • Design: The round form and vivid colors, created through high-temperature coating, are key features. The spout is specially designed to prevent dripping for a smooth pour.

Color Variations & Meaning

  • MALINKA (Red): Means “berry” in Russian; the bright, warm tone refreshes your mood.
  • NOCHKA (Black): Means “night”; its deep shade is perfect for a calm, relaxing evening.
  • UTRO (White): Means “morning”; its silvery white color evokes a crisp winter morning, ideal for the start of your day.

Development Background

KALINKA was developed by a planner from Russia who aimed to preserve Japanese tradition while adapting it to modern lifestyles. It was created as an item to enrich time at home during periods of staying indoors.

FAQs

  • Does the handle get hot?
The brass handle conducts heat slowly, making it comfortable to hold even with boiling water, though individual experiences may vary.
  • Is it prone to scratches?
The high-temperature coating is scratch-resistant, but strong rubbing or impact may cause damage.
  • Does the lid fall off while pouring?
Generally, it stays in place, but if tilted more than 90 degrees, the lid may fall, so please be careful.

Handcrafted by skilled artisans, the KALINKA Teapot blends craftsmanship with modern design to create a special tea experience. Perfect for relaxing at home or enjoying tea with loved ones.
